Improve your typing speed |
Among some time saving techniques, typing faster is certainly one of the easiest skills to improve/acquire. For sure this can be done by practicing a lot, using ten fingers instead of 2 (I personally use four of them, while reserving the remaining one for other purposes such as smashing them with a hammer or slicing them like a Japanese chef with some carrots, just for the fun of it. Don't give a it try it really hurts).
If you want to considerably increase your typing skills in no time, there are a few softwares out there which will do the trick with few efforts. These tools aim at auto-completing or replacing abbreviations by their full equivalent.

Improve your speed-reading skills |
You may have once been interested by improving your reading speed but the efforts required therefore have certainly discouraged you. Most of the speed-reading course are demanding and require you to train a lot before reaching tangible results. The method I propose you relies on a fairly basic statistical approach that claims you can drop most of the words in a text without loss of meaning. Such an approach should allow you to quickly scan through your mails and to address the mails that really require your attention.

How to sort your files automatically? (Part I) |
Surprisingly, though internet offers endless applications for doing everything and nothing, you may have a hard time to find applications for sorting your files automatically. And even if you find one you may not be satisfied by the quality of it. Having spent quite some time Googling in search of the best application to bring some organization in the mess that reigns into my multiple (6) hard-disk, I have found the six applications that I will detail later on in this article.
But why would you need an application to sort your files while you could do it manually? Digital media such as pictures, videos and pdf file have a natural tendency to grow and to accumulate up to the point they become unmanageable. Often hundredth of pictures of unequal quality are taken, and as you haven't got the time to sort them, they get transferred to a "safe" location for an unlikely sorting session. Not to mention system backup which are made on and on, up to the point the backup becomes unusable as you no longer know which one contains what you are looking for. You often end up with several external drives where the information gets duplicated. So time for a clean-up session! (I feel like your energy level goes down suddenly, am I right? Come-on, do it you'll be rewarded.)

Get an MBA (not a fake one...though) |
On the path to Hyper-efficiency there is knowledge, and there is no secret, you get knowledge through learning. So why not taking a look to the following site which claims to educate you if not to the level of an MBA, at least enough not to look stupid during worldly dinners. This site will provide you with a list of books which, at least for some, are part of a standard MBA cursus. To discover the site, click on the image below. This seems like a nice challenge to me.
